Dreaming into the infinity of imagination, and finding your passion… Within this secret wave I share, a magnificent liquid flux of one water drop to the next, and it's quest to infinity. I was so drawn to these miniature waves that I spent a good part of 5 years trying to capture them on film. They are mesmerizing and make really strange sounds like as if you were yelling in a tunnel. Some are a mere centimeters high moving at super high speed and reflecting light in a distinctive and mysterious way. Water seems to have viscosity to it and the smaller you go on the scale the more thicker and soupy it breaks. These micro-waves have really opened my eyes to the real magic of surfing and the possibilities of what may exist out there beyond earth, and to be in absolute awe with every moment we have. Wave riding truly is a lifetime passion that will forever change you.

Matt Kotch was born in southern California in 1967, he grew up in
Orange county during the 1970's. During his childhood he lived within
walking distance to Knott's Berry Farm and the Hollywood Wax Museum
which he and his friends made a constant weekend trip, this is where
they taught themselves how to panhandle. They always ended up with a
pocket full of money. The colorful wax statues of monsters as well as
the movie mask's in the gift shop fed a deep hunger for a young,
creative mind. At a local liquor store he discovered "Ed Roth" monster
cards so with his extra change he made his first art purchase.

As a native San Diego, Californian, Tony Spineto believes much of his stylistic uniqueness as an artist germinated during his sojourns to the beach. Although his artistic pathway includes study at the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach, he considers his independent acquisition of understanding art through his exploration of the masters as a major influence in his continual growth as an artist.
